I recently sent Alan a pair of Galaxy-styled Levi’s. Sadly, they were a size too big because he’s been crushing it at the gym. So, followed up with this pair of Lee Riders creased in the shin. There’s a bit of history to that style. Read on to learn more.
Hi Alan,
Thanks for subscribing to Comma, the vintage menswear subscription service! Here’s what you get:
Lee Jeans: So, given that the last pair didn’t fit, I thought I’d try again. These are vintage Lee jeans from the 1980s. If you look closely, you’ll notice a crease in each leg. This was a style for a bit, an effort to make jeans seem a bit more formal. It was particularly popular in the Bronx. So, these are the real deal in that way. Made in the USA. (Feel free to hang on to those if you’d like; alternatively, we don’t really have a time limit for returns.)
Picnic Shirt: There’s still snow on the ground here in Hartford, but I’m guessing that this shirt is good 12 months a year in LA. Poly-cotton blend in pink and blue pastel plaid. Point collar. There’s not much else to say about it. Tagged a medium but fits closer to a small
Walkman: I send out a lot of cassettes. Might as well send a way to listen to them. This one works, though I lost the batteries testing another. And hey, here’s the best of Stevie Wonder, too.
