I wish there were more vintage Levi’s Trucker Jackets in the world. I’ve got a few I keep to myself, but I get excited when one pops up to be shared. No one’s ever disappointed, it seems. This one features the numeric sizing of the late 80s but, incidentally, is made in Canada. The good news is I love Canada. The other news is the jacket’s gone to Sweden. Read the full letter below:
Hi Alexander,
Thanks for subscribing to Comma, the vintage menswear subscription service! Here’s what you get:A Vintage Levi’s Denim Jacket: Doesn’t get much more iconic than this: The Levi’s Trucker jacket is about as recognizable as it gets in the world of outerwear. This one features some great fading throughout, but still has a lot of life left. The tag dates this jacket to the late 80s. In the 90s, Levi’s from numeric sizing (this one is a 42) to letter sizing—S for small, L for large, et cetera. Really excited to ship this across the Atlantic!
A Selvage Bandana: If you look close here, you’ll see that three edges of the bandana are sewn over. One, though, is the natural edge of the fabric. Popular in denim nowadays, and exciting to find in other pieces.
A Tape: 80s Rock and Roll at its finest! (Reader, the tape was Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen.)
