Joe let us know that he has a thing for the Rocky Mountains. Technically, Pendleton, Oregon, is a bit to the west of that range, but the effort is there. Daniel’s Vintage Gitman Brothers Shirt, US Open T-Shirt and Fluorescent Hat

We had to ship this admittedly muted Vintage Gitman Brothers Shirt to ofset the brightness of the hat and t-shirt. Frankly, it does very little to do that, though. Look at that t-shirt! And that hat! You could look at it even if it were a mile away, a lighthouse of certain vintage guiding you safely away from the boring folks out there to someone who really knows the score: Love-93. Vintage Trucker Hat, Vintage Golf Jacket

The Dream Team! The Dream Sandwich! The Dream Band! I have a soft spot for 1984, which to me is the perfect cassette album. It’s maybe 30 minutes of music, includes “Jump,” “Panama,” and “Hot For Teacher,” and the title track is just ambient noise. (I forgot to write all of this in the letter.) Oliver’s Box: LL Bean Flannel, Crewneck Sweatshirt, and more.

There’s this odd line of finding something genuinely related to a subscriber’s life versus inventing a relationship that may not exist. I know that Oliver lives in New Jersey, for example, but I have no idea whether he’s actually been to Jersey City, where he’d find the restaurant advertised on this crewneck sweatshirt. It’s a stretch, perhaps. Then again, he did say he could use a new grey crewneck sweatshirt. I think I did better with the hat. Continue reading
