Sometimes, when I find a couple things that go well together, a subscriber gets a heck of a box. That’s how I feel about this one, anyway. It’s not often I ship out Allen Edmonds shoes. And it’s not often I ship out Brooks Brother’s shirts. It’s never happened that I ship them out together, but here we are. Also, I’m running out of things to say about tie clips. Finally, yes, this was photographed atop a table tennis table. Read the full letter below:
Hi Matt,
Thanks for subscribing to Comma, the vintage menswear subscription service! Here’s what you get:
A Pair of Loafers: Allen Edmonds bills itself as the Great American Shoe Company. I think they’ve got fair reason to do so: They’ve been around for decades and continue to make some of the finest shoes available at their factories in Minnesota. And compared to other luxury shoe makers, they’re relatively affordable. (Though these would cost over $300 new.) So, here’s a pair of light brown tassel loafers in the precise size you requested. I hope they fit!
A Brooks Brothers Oxford: All you’re missing now is a pair of khakis and you’ve got an outfit to get you from May to September. 100% cotton and made in the USA. Class Brooks Brothers styling, including a nicely rolling collar and rear box pleat.
A Vintage Tie-Clip: Everybody needs at least one!
