So Dan got a little lucky. He got one of our last winter shipments, and as storage space is at a premium, he got not one but two cardigans. And, as he told me later, that shells booklet nearly made him break the lease on his apartment. (A spooky coincidence transpired!) But that’s between him and the ghosts. Read the full letter below.
Hi Dan!
Thanks for subscribing to Comma, the vintage menswear subscription service. Here’s what you get:
Pendleton Cardigan: 100% Shetland wool and made in the USA. A deep red with some variation to the color that adds a nice visual texture. It’s not pristine: There is a small hole in a cuff, and there is some light pilling. A disposable razor would take care of most of that, if you’re so inclined.
Another Cardigan: I had too many cardigans and as it’s nearly March I’ve chosen to give you two. This one has a bit more going on: Small blue dots and a pattern at the hem and cuffs and made in the USA of a 85/15 wool blend. I also like the visible wear on the buttons. And the label has a buffalo on it. This really has a lot going on.
A Neck Tie: Red with blue and yellow florets; unassuming from a distance but if someone’s close enough they might say “Hey you have flowers on your tie!” I figure you want that to happen as often as possible. Exclusive to a (likely out of business) clothier in New Haven. Hope to come visit soon.
A Book: This should come in handy next time you go to the beach.
